HAD AN ACCIDENT AT WORK?

Accidents at work are common enough and your employer must by law have insurance cover to cover such events.

Although most accidents may be obvious physical injuries it is also the case that employees and workers can suffer from mental injuries.

For example, an employee may be dismissed for capability reasons because of injuries that were caused at work and for which the employer may be liable.

The law is complicated in this area and can often lead to confusion between employment and personal injury rights. We at ETAS Direct can help you.

If you have had an injury how do you know if you have a claim?

If you have had an accident in the last 3 years that was not your fault and you have suffered an injury, you should contact us and we will be able to find out if you can claim.

Even if the claim was more than 3 years ago or even if the accident was partly your own fault you may still have a claim.

Injuries at work are not always apparent and can take time to show themselves - such as Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) and recognised industrial diseases such as Vibration White Finger (VWF), Industrial Deafness and mental ill-health, such as clinical depression.
